Very rich Christmas coffee cake. very good also
KRIS KRINGLE KOFFEE KAKE
PART A 1 cup flour 1/2 butter 1 tbsp. ice water Mix like pie crust pat onto cookie sheet
about 3 inches wide in a "U" shape.
PART B 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter (bring to a boil).
Remove from heat add 1 cup flour and stir.
When mixed add 3 eggs one at a time until not "slimy".
Cool to lukewarm (2 min.), add 1tsp. pure almond extract
and pour onto Part A.
Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Let cool completely.
FROSTING 1/2 cup softened butter 2 cups sifted powder sugar 1 egg yolk 1 tsp. almond extract 1 Tbs. milk (may add more to spread) Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
